This workshop will provide an introduction to the importance of coal preparation on the economics of the mining process, identify the unit operations commonly used and discuss typical process flowsheets and provide operational guidelines for optimizing process and plant performance.
The worshop is from 8am-4pm and offers 8 Professional Development Hours. Cost is $125 for CPSA members and $175 for nonmembers which includes a 1 year membership. Lunch, snacks and refreshements will be provided. Dr. Rick Honaker from the University of Kentucky is the workshop leader. It is designed for anyone involved in coal preparation from operators to application engineers.
